DAVID C. PULLEY

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- David Clarence Pulley, 67, a native of Ivor, died Saturday, Feb. 27.

He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the College of William and Mary, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa, and his Ph.D from Yale University. Mr. Pulley served with the Ford Foundation developing educational programs in Arkansas and Iraq and was a Fulbright lecturer in Chile. He had been a professor of education at Furman University.

The World War II Army veteran was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenville.

Survived by his wife, Elizabeth Richardson Pulley; three daughters, Catherine E. Pulley of Charleston, S.C., Lydia P. Willett of Washington, D.C., and April P. Sayre of South Bend, Ind.; four sisters, Marion P. Broocke of Virginia Beach, Elizabeth P. Ashby of Franklin, Annabelle P. Sullivan of Winchester and Carolyn P. Pulley of Chesapeake; and two brothers, R. Bradshaw Pulley of Virginia Beach and J. Reid Pulley of Winston-Salem, N.C.

Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at The Mackey Mortuary. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Springwood Cemetery.
