David Franklin Whittington, 60, of Linde Road, died Aug. 22, 1987, at Hinds General Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. today at Stringer Funeral Home chapel in Crystal Springs with burial in Johnson Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Merle Johnson Whittington; son, David Franklin Whittington Jr. of Memphis; brother, Elvin Whittington of Jackson; sisters, Mrs. Edd (Ruby) Bush and Mrs. Lauren (Jewell) Matthews, both of Crystal Springs, Mrs. Carolyn Perkins of Dallas and Mrs. Mary Katherine Phillips of Seattle, Wash.; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
