David G. Evans Dies; Services Set Wednesday

Funeral services for David G. Evans, of 1200 Hinton St., West Monroe, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Spears Funeral Home of Monroe, with the Rev. Earl Monzingo officiating.

Burial will follow in Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, under direction of Spears Funeral Home.

Mr. Evans died Monday in St. Francis Hospital after an apparent heart attack. The Texarkana, Ark., native was employed as a mechanic for the City of Monroe.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Evans of West Monroe; three sons, Joseph, James and Steve Evans, all of West Monroe; seven daughters, Mrs. Ivy Lea Temple, Mrs. Mary Hedgepeth, Mrs. Charlotte Duff, Mrs. Carolyn Nolan, Mrs. Shirley Frost, Sandra Evans and Barbara Evans, all of West Monroe; one brother, Silas S. Evans of Bossier City, and 14 grandchildren.
