David Gary Lincecum
January 19, 1954 - April 17, 2014

David “Gary” Lincecum age 60 a native of Georgetown, La. and a resident of Deville, La. entered eternal rest Thursday, Apr 17, 2014. He died at Union Baptist Church in Deville, La, while working on the new building where he was a member.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm at Union Baptist Church, 493 Barney Rush Road, Deville, La.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm at the church with Rev. Blaine Ussery officiating. Immediately following the service the interment will be at Lincecum Cemetery just off Hwy 165N between Pollock of, La. & Georgetown, La.

He was born January 19, 1954 in Winnfield, La. to the union of Dan P. Lincecum Jr. & Mildred “Pete” Quinn Lincecum of Georgetown. They preceded him in death as well as his paternal grandparents, Dan P. Lincecum Sr. & Noda Bell Nugent Lincecum, his maternal grandparents, Dewitt Quinn & Bell Berry Quinn all of Georgetown, La. & his great nephew, James David Thompson.

He graduated from Georgetown High School in 1972 and from Northwestern State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He began his years of employment with Ben Littlepage in Colfax, La. In 1986 he went to work for the Dept. of Health & Hospital Office of Public Health as a sanitarian. He retired January 19, 2014 after 28 years with that office. He was on the Louisiana Board Health Inspectors.

Those left to mourn his loss & cherish his memory include his son, Joshua W. Lincecum (Roxanne) & grandson Eli W, Lincecum all of Sulfur, La.; sister, T. Diane Thompson (Benny) of Deville, La.; brother, Michael D. Lincecum (Dori) of West Monroe, La.; nephew, Jeffrey B. Thompson (Stephanie); niece, Renee D. Wiggins (Jon) all of Deville, La.; one great niece, Kaci Thompson of Monroe, La.; three great nephews, Daniel J. Wiggins, J. Hunter Thompson & Gavin C. Wiggins all of Deville, La. His adopted family Rev. Blaine & Cathy Ussery & girls; Gene Jones his working partner at the new church & all the church members of Union Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Daniel J. Wiggins, J. Hunter Thompson, Gavin C. Wiggins, Gene Jones, Jared Chapman & Matt Abel.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the building fund at Union Baptist Church, 493 Barney Rush Road, Deville, La. in memory of Gary Lincecum.
