DAVID YNGVE WESTLING

Mr. David Yngve Westling, 76, of High Point, NC (formerly of Lenexa, KS), died Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at his home. Graveside service are pending and will be held at Fort Snelling, MN at a later date.

Mr. Westling was preceded in death by his parents, David Victor Westling and Lorna Ann Westling; a sister, Laurel Westling Gold; a brother, Paul E. Westling; and a granddaughter, Kelly Erin Springston.

Mr. Westling is survived by four sons, David Haraldsied, Steve Westling, Mark Westling and Andrew Westling; a daughter, Lorna Springston; a sister, Sandra Demland; best friends, Ruthann Coburn, Thomas Coburn, Katherine Hewitt and Melissa Hogmire; and numerous grandchildren.

Mr. Westling retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1967 as the Commanding Officer of MAG-32 in Beaufort, SC. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a Night Fighter Pilot. He also served in Okinawa and was a Flight Instructor in Pensacola, FL.
