Old Bethel Briefs

Word was received here of the death of Mr. D. B. Burns. Mr. Burns was a native of Louisiana and lived here until a few years ago when he moved to Alta Loma, Texas, with his daughter, Mrs. W. A. Krischke, with whom he made his home.

He was born in 1850; at the time of his death on January 6th he was 99 years, 10 months and 13 days old. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Alta Loma. Interment was made in a cemetery there.

Mr. Burns leaves one other daughter, Bernice, of Shreveport, and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was well known in this community and has many friends here who regret to hear of his passing.
