Rites Set For Mrs. Hawthorne
JENA (Special) -- Mrs. Della Doughty Hawthorne, 76, died early today at her residence in Little Creek.
The body will lie in state at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Stringer of Little Creek until time for the funeral services, which were scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Rev. Lloyd Graham will officiate assisted by the Rev. Oscar Bradford. Burial will follow in Little Creek Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
Survivors include two sons: Wayne P. Hawthorne of Ruston, and Edward A. Hawthorne of Pineville; three daughters: Mrs. Callie Howard and Mrs. Minnie Stringer, both of Little Creek, and Mrs. Tully Davis, Trout, 13 grand-childres [sic] and 11 great-grandchildren.
Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
