Native County Woman Dies At Age 83

Mrs. Della Lee Holland of Route 2, Newton Grove, a native of Johnston County, died Thursday in Fayetteville. She was 83 years of age.

She was a daughter of the late L. T. B. and Susan Jones Lee. She was the widow of Rufus A. Holland.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at Calvary Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church near Salemburg. The Rev. W. O. Honeycutt, the Rev. P. O. Jackson, and the Rev. C. W. Kirby will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

The body will be taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Hair on Route 1, Salemburg, Saturday afternoon.

Surviving are two sons, Ransom B. Holland of Salemburg and Roy Holland of Route 2, Newton Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Hair of Route 1, Salemburg, and Mrs. Mamie Harris of Route 2, Clinton; seven sisters, Mrs. Penny Johnson, Mrs. Amanda Jones, and Mrs. Lena Barbour, all of Smithfield, Mrs. Mary Langdon of Four Oaks, Mrs. Louie Johnson of Benson, Mrs. Ellen Austin of Clinton, and Mrs. Josey Leneaves of Raleigh; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
