Graveside services for Mr. Delmas B. Thornton, 93, of Bossier City, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 7, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Calhoun, LA. Bro. Wayne Fussell will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Thornton was born November 25, 1915 in Sikes, LA and passed away September 4, 2009 in Bossier City, LA. He was a retired millwright and a member of Carpenter Millwright Local 1811. Mr. Thornton was a member of Midway Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Weaver and Ola Thornton and his wife Eutha Thornton; sons, Donald Thornton and Lawrence Thornton and a daughter, Kay Thornton Fitts.
He is survived by his children; Fay Thornton Rawls and husband Milton, Doyle Thornton and wife Nell, Jerry M. Thornton and wife Diane ; a brother, Conrad Thornton and wife Elaine; and a sister, V.O. Robinson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
