Delos L. Bass
September 1, 1932 - June 28, 2011
A native of Liberty, MS and a resident of Walker, went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully at 9:05 AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his residence at the age of 78 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He served and defended his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean war, he was co-owner of Hwy 190 Auto Salvage for over 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Clark and her fiance, Keith Callahan; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Judy Bass; grandchildren, Angela Clark, Ashley Clark, Trey Lambert, Todd Clark, Heather Lambert and Zachary Lambert; great-grandchildren, Brianne Boudreaux, Adrianne Boudreaux, Solomon Miller, Tyler Miller and Kailya Vinet; sister-in-law, Joyce Bass; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years , Winifred “Sue” Bass; daughter, Kathy Elaine Bass; son, Roger Dale Bass; parents, Market and Aler Bass; brothers, Lloyd Bass Sr., Robert L. Bass, Odell Bass and Marcus Finch.
The family would like to express their special thanks to Ashley, his loving grandaughter and Judy, his loving daughter-in-law for their loving care, also Brandy, Kristen, Monique, Ursula, Katherine, Linda and Dale from St. Joseph's Hospice.
