Mrs. Delpha Warrenfeltz

Mrs. Delpha “Rae” Warrenfeltz, 82, a Baltimore resident for 50 years, retiring to Walkersville, died Monday, January 22, 2007, at her home. She was the wife of Paul M. Warrenfeltz, her husband of 63 years.

Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on April 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Wood Edward and Pearl Taylor Lanier.

Mrs. Warrenfeltz attended Glade Valley Church of the Brethren. She always enjoyed spending time with her children and taking care of others.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Paul M. Warrenfeltz Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., Donald E. Warrenfeltz and Joyce Lochridge, both of Baltimore, Ronald Warrenfeltz of Mount Airy, Daniel R. Warrenfeltz of Catonsville, Jeannette M. Smith of Grand Prairie, Texas, and John C. Warrenfeltz of Baltimore; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald K. Lanier of Monroe, La.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Gale Warrenfeltz; a brother, Wood E. Lanier Jr.; and a sister, Delma Rachel Stankus.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, with the Rev. Daniel House officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.
