Dennis Lamar Mallett

SAUCIER --- Mr. Dennis Lamar Mallett, 95, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Saucier.

Mr. Mallett was a native and lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He attended Dogwood Head and Woodrow Wilson High School and is retired from Litton Industries in Pascagoula. He was a lifelong member of Vestry Masonic Lodge and a member of Ramsey Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Pearl Quave Mallett; a sister, Ruth Wilson; four brothers, Roy Mallett, Ottman Mallett, George Mallett and Bruner Mallett; and a grandson, Eldon Joel Mallett Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah ``Bonnie'' Johnson Mallett of Saucier; five sons, Sidney Mallett and Bruce Mallett, both of Saucier, the Rev. Milburn Mallett of Long Beach, Eldon Mallett of Poplarville and Roddy Mallett of Magnolia; four daughters, Barbara Rozier of Lucedale, Shirley Avondoglia of Biloxi, Carolyn Seymour of Saucier and Linda Scara of Ocean Springs; two brothers, Jessie Mallett of Perkinston and Hilton Mallett of Saucier; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, U.S. 49 North, Gulfport. A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Creek Baptist Church where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
