Dennis Lavell Griffing, 62, passed from this life Friday, February 12, 2016, in Jackson.
A Life Celebration Gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, from 3:00-5:00pm, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Private interment services will be held.
Dennis was born Monday, October 12, 1953, in Jackson, a son of the late Morris Duane Griffing and Robbie Garrett Griffing Barrett. He attended Pearl High School and worked for several years at Knox Glass/Glass Containers and Scotts Fertilizer.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Candace Teasley, brother, Lamar D. Griffing, and grandparents, O.M. and Angeline Griffing.
Survivors include daughter, Chasity Sisson and husband Max; sisters, Susie Barrett, Suzie Sawin and husband Richard, and Jo Haley and husband James and Sherry Griffing Downing Sandifer; brothers, Morris B. Griffing and wife Wanda, and Bobby M. Griffing and wife Nancy; brother-in-law, Carroll Teasley; and two grandchildren.
