James Devane Crain
James Devane Crain, 89, of Beaumont passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Calderwood Nursing Home.
James was born on September 20, 1926 in Sikes, Louisiana to parents Bessie Lee (Fletcher) and Marshall Osbourne Crain. He had lived in Hemphill, Texas for last 30 years; prior in the Groves area. He retired from Fina after 30 years of employment as a supervisor. James served his country in the Maerchant Marine during WWII. He enjoyed going fishing, working his gardens and he built several of his houses. James was a loving man who will be missed dearly by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dotti Crain; daughters, Nancy Lohmann, Peggy Cotham; brother, Ross Crain.
James is survived by his daughters, Judy Singer and husband, Dick of Poway, CA, Diane Ruth and husband, Stan of Beaumont, TX; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A 2 pm funeral service will be held on Monday June 20, 2016 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 1 pm until service time. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
