Dewey Emmons
Dewey Emmons, 68, of 104 W. 75th St. died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday in Veterans Administration Hospital after an extended illness.
A resident of Shreveport for 35 years, Mr. Emmons was a native of Pleasant Hill. He was a retired employe of the L. E. Myers Construction Co.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of the First National Funeral Home with the Rev. W. D. Martin, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Charles Ward Brister and Roy E. Brister, both of Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. Sandra Kay Barnett, Mrs. Doris Hooker and Mrs. Dorothy Ogburn, all of Shreveport, and Mrs. Evelyn Carter of Cedar City, Utah; three sisters, Mrs. Nina Marler [sic Marter] of Shreveport, Mrs. Jewel Cooper of Bossier City and Mrs. Bessie Dickerson of Smackover, Ark.
Pallbearers will be M. C. Ogburn, L. F. Peters, L. E. Dunning, R. T. Huddleston, J. L. Landren and J. B. Lowe.
