Services for Diana Lynn Baker will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Harry M. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ruby, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Pallbearers will be Richard Swain, Scott P. Matthews, Taylor J. Yost, Frank M. White, Jr., Blake E. White, and James R. Baker, III. Honorary pallbearers will be Stewart Parker White and Michael Brady Bynog.
Diana lost her fight to small cell lung cancer, Saturday, May 20, 2006.
Diana Baker has been on the board and an active member of the YWCA for about 8 years. Other charities she was very involved with include the Red Cross and March of Dimes. Diana was also an active member of First Baptist Church in Pineville and last year donated generously to Hurricane Katrina victims. Diana was recently honored by having a wing named after her at the City of Hope Orphanage for the hearing and speech impaired in Ensenada, Mexico. Her hobbies include fishing, traveling, reading and attending the Bullfights all over the world, especially in Tijuana, Mexico. Diana and her daughter Courtney also raise Quarter Horses.
Diana leaves behind her two daughters, Monica Suzanne Bruce and Courtney Lynn Bynog both of Pineville; and grandchildren, Adrianne Nicole Yost, Taylor James Yost, Parker Edward Bruce, Michael Brady Bynog and Victoria Lynn Bynog; brother, James Russell Baker, Jr. of Pineville; and sister, Sharon Baker Martin of Memphis, Tennessee.
Friends may call Sunday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m.
