SMITH, DICK

Died 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 1995, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 71, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Smackover, Ark. He was a retired Bancroft Paper Co. employee and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of staff sergeant.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 5 to 9 p.m Tuesday. Visiting at the funeral home 8:30 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. James W. Smith. Interment in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton.

Survived by a daughter, Nonnie L. Hilbun; five sons, Rick Smith, David Smith, Danny Smith, George Smith and Dale Smith; a sister, Virginia Aull; a brother, W.B. Smith; and six grandchildren, Chrissie Smith, Daniel Smith, Jason Smith, Sarah Smith, Christopher Smith and Nikolaus Smith.

Preceded in death by wife, Helen Louise Mott Smith.

He graduated as a high school All-American in football from Smackover High School. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church.
