Mrs. Dicey Wheeler, 80, Dies

Mrs. Dicey Wheeler, 80, widow of Jacob Wheeler and a former resident of Benson, died Saturday in Washington, D.C.

A funeral service was conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Benson Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Benson City Cemetery. The Rev. H. O. Lanning and the Rev. J. D. Capps officiated.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. May Irving, Mrs. Maude Groggon [sic Croggon] and Mrs. Mary Gulino, all of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Ida Shultze [sic Schultze] of Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Earl Hall of Benson; three sons, Maxie Wheeler of Benson, John Henry Wheeler of Washington, D.C., and J. Wheeler of New York City; one brother, Harry Lee of Route 3, Four Oaks; and 24 grandchildren.
