DOLAN ``BUDDY'' HAMMONS

Services for Mr. Dolan ``Buddy'' Hammons, 86, of Downsville, LA will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Downsville Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Davis and Bro. Donald Lemmons officiating. Interment will follow in Downsville Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Hammons was a member of the Downsville Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended Northeast Junior College and retired from the Louisiana Highway Department as Sign and Traffic Superintendent. Buddy had a great love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Katie Phillips.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years Mae Hinton Hammons of Downsville, LA; son J.D. Hammons and wife Bonnie of Downsville, LA; two daughters Sheree H. Allen and husband Howard of Downsville, LA and Holly H. Phillips of Downsville LA; sister Dorthea H. Ham; brother J. Cleve Hammons Jr. and wife Virginia of Downsville, LA; four grandchildren Chris Allen, Amber Allen, Clay Allen and Kelly Phillips.

Pallbearers will be Troy Ham, Jerry Hammons, Tim Hammons, Pat Phillips, John Sistrunk and Robert Hinton.

Visitation will be Monday, October 31, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville.
