DON A. BLUME was born September 22, 1944 in Lake Charles, LA and died February 1, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Bryan; father, Sydney and brother, Newell. Nieces and nephews include DeAnn Welch, Dana Blume, Kim, Erin, Allison, Jared & Brandon McAnulty; numerous other family and friends.
Don graduated from La Grange Sr. High School, McNeese University & attended Tulane Graduate School. He founded and ran Summit Engineering, Inc, a successful firm for the past 25 years. He was an active church member and enjoyed traveling from the Texas Gulf Coast to the mountains of Colorado as well as Germany & Russia.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home Champions at 4:00 7:30 on Thursday and again on Saturday from 11:00 1:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at Northwoods Presbyterian Church, 3320 FM 1960 West, Houston, TX 77068 at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2006.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to M D Anderson Bladder Research or the American Cancer Society.
