BASTROP, LA. -- Funeral services for Mr. Don Aubry Green will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Hughes Chapel Methodist Church in the Beekman Community with Reverend Britt Dupree officiating. Burial will follow in the Hughes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Don Aubry Green, a retired route salesman with Flavorich Dairy, was born July 8, 1942 in Dodson, Louisiana to the late James Aubrey and Evelyn Jones Green. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Montez Green.
Don is survived by his wife Carol Green; his three daughters, Sheryl Graham and her husband, Dwain, Judy Reichardt and her husband, Sonny, Tina Golden and her husband, Eddie; a son, Kenny Shanks; two sisters, Elsie Ferguson and Annette Collinsworth; brother, Ricky Green; mother-in-law, Katherine Billingsley; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Reichardt, Bobby Graham, Richard Graham, Craig Huff, Lewis Huff, and Matt Nubles.
The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. until time for services at the church on Sunday, September 9th.
The family wishes tho extend a “special thank-you” to the nurses and staff of Premier Hospice especially Mary, Cindy, and Andrea. Also special thanks to Rev. Britt Dupree for his friendship and concern extended to our father and family during this time.
