Services for Donald C. Weed of Clinton are 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Weed, 72, died Oct. 16, 2003, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Mansfield, La., on Aug. 19, 1931, to A.C. Weed and Clarice Ethridge Weed.
He was retired from Mississippi Power and Light, and had worked with Federal Emergency Management Agency. He was retired from the Air Force, and a past master of Grenada Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and golfer.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters, Virginia Paton and Jo Herb.
Survivors are his wife, Maggie Buie Weed of Clinton; his son and daughter-in-law, Don C. Weed Jr. and Stacey of Clinton; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Bob Pickard of Albertville, Ala., Nina and Edsel Meeks of Guntersville, Ala., Penny Dilmore of Arabia, Ala., and Pat and John Dunn of Brookhaven; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wilton and Maxine Buie, and Elmer Lee and Ruby Buie, all of Brookhaven; his sister-in-law, Frances Buie Grisham of South Haven; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl ``Bud'' Weed and Martha of Guntersville, and Mack E. Weed [sic Mark F. Weed] and Debbie of La Fayette, Ga.; a number of nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Elnora Bowles.
