Donald Eugene Smith, born January 30, 1950 in Colfax, LA passed away at his home in Grand Cane, LA on November 11, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his father, A.U. Smith and his mother, Jackie Fisher Smith of Colfax.
Don was a Veteran of the Vietnam War in which he proudly served his country with honor.
He is survived by five children; sons, Donald Eugene Smith, Jr. and wife Deeane, Jessie Smith, Jacob Smith and two daughters, Gina Smith Pomes and husband Paul and Amanda Smith Calk. Brother Bill Smith and sister Geneva Adair and family. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service was held at First Community Church in Mansfield, LA by Pastor Toby Shaw. Don became a member of the church in April, 2010. He will be missed by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
