Donald Hensley

FORT STOCKTON - Donald Hensley, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in a local nursing home.

Service will be at 1 p.m. today in the Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston.

He was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Hawkins. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a sales engineer and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Hensley of Houston; a son, Stephen Hensley of Houston; three daughters, Brenda Brown of Fort Stockton, Donna Gillum of Lubbock and Connie Hensley of Houston; his twin sister, Doris Vickery of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donald Hensley

HOUSTON (Special) Graveside services for Donald Hensley, 74, of Houston will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Forest Park Cemetery with Coy Day officiating.

Burial is under the direction of Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in Fort Stockton.

He was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Hawkin[s]. He married Ann J. Moore on April 23, 1948, in Nacogdoches. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Instrument Society of America. He was fire chief of Lone Star Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years. He was a city councilman in Lone Star in the 1960s.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Stephen of Houston; three daughters, Brenda Brown of Fort Stockton, Donna Gillum of Lubbock and Connie Hensley of Houston; a sister, Doris Vickery of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
