Donald Ray Rainer, 54, of Laurel, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth G. Smith will officiate.
He attended Rose of Sharon Independence Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde C. and Erma Lee Rayner Rainer; a brother, Clarence Rainer; and a sister, Linda Faye Rainer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith Rainer of Laurel; two sons, Douglas Rainer of Laurel and Michael Rainer of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Anita Craven of Laurel; two grandchildren, Jonathan Rainer of Taylorsville and Elizabeth ``Allie'' Rainer of Laurel; a brother, Darel Rainer of Laurel; a sister, Mildred Terry of Laurel; and a nephew, Chris Terry.
Pallbearers will be Joby Moss, Brad Ulmer, Jason Smith, Allen Matthews, James Sistruck and Clifford Rhodes. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert ``Pee Wee'' Smith and Danny Smith.
Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
