Donna Rose Prestridge

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP - Donna Rose Prestridge, 77, passed away Dec. 11, 2010, at the Princeton University Hospital.

Born in Glencoe, OK, on Oct. 18, 1933, to Presley and Lydia Cantlon, Donna Rose was graduated from Boise, ID, high school in 1955. Shortly after, she joined Pacific Telephone in California (part of the Bell System) as a sales representative. While working with many of the systems companies, i.e. AT&T, she was the first woman district manager in system She retired from AT&T in 1987 with 33 years of service with the Bell system. She began a new full-time career as a decorative artist and was awarded her status as a “Certified Decorative Artist” (CDA), in 1996 from the National Society of Tole & Decorative Painters. Opening her own studio “Into the Woods Art Studio” in Hopewell, NJ, and has taught throughout the East Coast and Canada. Donna Rose loved teaching.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years and his four children, Karyn Ungar and her husband, Paul; Bingham and wife, Barbara; Wade and wife, Lois, and Patrick and wife, Sandy. There are also eight grandchildren, Miles, Cole, Kelley, Allison, Madison, Caitlyn, Megan, and Andrew. Donna is also survived by her sister, Ramona Pauline Smith.

Visitation is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday with a “Celebration of Life” at 3 p.m. in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough.
