Donnie P. Twigg, 66
Donnie Pharo Twigg, 66, of Four Oaks died Wednesday evening, July 25, 2007, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
He was born May 23, 1941, in Johnston County to Della Thompson Twigg of Four Oaks and the late Charlie Pharo Twigg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thelbert Lee Twigg.
He was owner and operator of Twigg's Auto Sales and Twigg's Body and Repair Shop for 46 years. Mr. Twigg was a member and deacon of Four Oaks Advent Christian Church and was a member of Benson American Legion, Banner Unit 109.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Four Oaks AC Church by the Rev. Jimmy Wooten and Grace Hargis. Burial with military honors will follow at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Mildred Coats Twigg; stepson, Mike Stallings and wife Cathy of Pinetops; stepdaughter, Kim Thorne and husband Chris of Zebulon; brothers, Jimmy Twigg and wife Carol of Smithfield, Glenn Twigg and wife Lois of Kenly, Ronnie Twigg and wife Barbara of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Brad Thorne and Clay Thorne, both of Zebulon, Monica Stallings and Kali Stallings, both of Pinetops.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
