Mrs. Donie Mae Jones

Services for Mrs. Donie Mae Jones were to be held today at 11:00AM from Long Creek Baptist Church with the Rev Donald Turner officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetary with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangments.

Mrs. Jones, 87, 923 A St. Meridian, died Sunday. She was a native of Waynesboro and a retired carder for Standard Cotton Company.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Jones, Meridian, Three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Sullivan, Memphis, Tn., Mrs Sara Elam, and Mrs. Mildred McDonald, both of Meridian. Five sons, Preston Jones and James Jones, both of Meridian, Cleston, New Orleans, La., and Joseph Jones, Jackson, a sister, Mrs. Dora Williams, Waynesboro. Thirty grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
