SONIER, DORIS VALITE [sic VILATE] -- ROBERTSON
A resident and native of Baton Rouge, she was born April 18, 1923, and went to be with her Lord on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, 2003, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 80 and a resident of Regency Place Care Center. She was retired from the Louisiana Department of Safety.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Nickens Jacobsen of Gonzales, Paula R. Cook of Houston, and Kimberly N. Coffey of Bacliff, Texas; three sons, Richard D. Robertson of Spring, Texas, and Warren Dean Robertson and Norman S. Robertson, both of Galvez; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Robertson of Bryan, Texas; two sons-in-law, Thomas Jacobsen and KiSon Coffey; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Robbie Crum; a son, William Benton Robertson III; and a sister, Barbara Stewart Britt, who was of Fayetteville, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003 at Parkside Baptist Church, 14140 S. Harrell's Ferry Road. The family will receive visitors from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.
