Mrs. Doris E. Jones

Mrs. Doris E. Jones, 55, of Austin died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in a Beeville nursing home following a short illness.

She was born Dec. 2, 1953, in Corpus Christi to Bennie Ritchie and Bernice Hawkins. She was a retired secretary for Exxon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one son, Keith (Maria De Jesus) Pietzsch of Tuleta; two daughters, Christy (Patrick) Kercher of Arlington and Jana Jones of Austin; one brother, David Ritchie of Austin; one sister, Mary Lou Bailey of Corpus Christi; and five grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Treviño Funeral Home, with Pastor Jesse De La Garza officiating.

Burial will be at a later date.
