Doris Ashton Inman

Mrs. Doris Ashton Inman, 95, resident of Mapleash Avenue, died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at NHC Hillview.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with James Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Thomas Edmond Ashton and Daisy Lucy Cheek Ashton Dean. She was retired from Whitthorne Middle School cafeteria and was a member of Captain James Madison Sparkman UDC. Mrs. Inman was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Eddie Inman of Lynnville; brother, Norman (Amelia) Dean of Columbia, sister, Ann Graham of Columbia; grandchild, Debbie Inman Brasfield of Culleoka; great-grandchildren, William Brasfield, Molly Brasfield; sister-in-law, Jewel Dean; several nieces and nephews; and the extended family of caregivers at Poplar Estates Assisted Living.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willian A. Inman; three brothers, Thomas Ashton, William Dean, Waylan Dean and daughter-in-law, Mae Beard Inman.
Active pallbearers will be Will Brasfield, Jacky Thompson, Robert Thompson, Marty Smith, Jack Inman, Danny Taylor, Tommy Ashton, Tim Ashton, and Dave Ashton. Honorary pallbearers include the staff at Poplar Estates Assisted Living.
