DORIS JESSIE LLOYD, 90, died Sept. 29, 1996, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired teacher and college professor.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, in Fountain. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 305 Norman Drive, in Security.

Mrs. Lloyd was born July 10, 1906, in Sandersville, Miss., to Lawrence and Emma (Hawkins) Smith.

She was married June 19, 1932, in Laurel, Miss., to John B. Lloyd, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, John B. Jr. of Castro Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara L. Finau of Security; a sister, Barbara House of Laurel; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lloyd was involved with her church and the Fountain Valley Senior Center. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1971.
