Mrs. Doris Vivian Boyd
Services for Mrs. Doris Vivian Boyd of Old Center Community will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at Old Center Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Spurgeon will officiate.
Burial will be at Old Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd died Feb. 2 at Panola Nursing Home. She was 78 and a retired cashier/survivor from a Houston department store.
Born March 1, 1910, she was the daughter of William T. and Louie Gromillion Twomey. She lived most of her life in Panola County.
She and her husband resided in Houston for several years.
She was a member of Old Center Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by four sons, Henry Twomey Boyd of Carthage, James Terry Boyd of Deer Park, William Thomas Boyd and Ralph Donovan Boyd both of Kemah; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
