Dorothy Alice Phare
Dorothy A. Phare, born in Wisner, Franklin Parish, Louisiana on October 28, 1927, died October 20, 2011. Daughter of William Curtis Freeman (Miss. 1903-1984) and Josie Eulita Green (LA. 1911-1931). Dorothy was the first Estate Planning/Probate Paralegal in the State of Arizona; she was also a Certified Genealogist; historian and member of Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 75. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and spending time at her summer cabin at Potato Patch which is South of Walker, AZ. Dorothy first married in Mississippi to John E. Walters and had two children, John E. Jr. and Dorothy Eulita. John, Sr. died in Phoenix in 1996 and John, Jr. died in Sun City in 2010.
Survived by her husband, Gilbert C. Phare, daughter Dorothy Eulita Easterling (Larry C.), foster son Louis M. Allen, Stillman Valley, Illinois, sisters Barbara Jean Dolphin and Shirley Hymes, both of Texas. Grandchildren Kenneth L. Walters, Gary W. Walters, both of Phoenix, Christine A. Nobles, Glendale. Great-Grandchildren, Marcus, Sahara, Val and Isismarie Walters, El Paso, Texas; Calla Garcia and James M. Nobles, Phoenix.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 26th at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd. in Phoenix.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 27th at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd.
