Funeral services for Dorothy Boykin, 75 of Ferriday, La. will be held at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Galen Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Natchez Ms, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Dorothy Boykin was born on October 11, 1935 and passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 . She was a resident of Ferriday, a house keeper and a member of the Methodist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Boykin and Helen Boykin; two sisters, Lucille Bamburg and Wanda Dianne Clay; and one nephew, Christopher Powell.
Survivors include her five brothers, Joe Boykin and wife, Lilly, of Vidalia, Zane Boykin and wife, Carolyn, of Ferriday, Keith Boykin and wife, Carla, of Woodville, Ms., Wren Boykin and wife, Barbrer, of Cranfield, Ms., and Freddie Boykin and wife, Willie Mae of Walker, La.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Carlton Boykin, Ivan Hedrick, Carl Boykin, Stuart Boykin, David Hedrick and Kenneth Hedrick
The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
