Mrs. Dorothy Maxey

Mrs. Dorothy Ferguson Maxey, 41, of 629 Bringhurst St., died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in Doctors' Hospital after a long illness.

The native and lifelong resident of Shreveport was a member of Caddo Heights Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Bossier City Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. Loyd Hughes, pastor of Bell Park Baptist Church, and the Rev. Bob Gordon, pastor of Caddo Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.

Mrs. Maxey is survived by her husband, Emmett L. Maxey of Shreveport; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Ferguson of Princeton; and a brother, William Ferguson of Slidell.

Pallbearers will be B. F. Horton, Gary Horton, M. O. Wood, Johnny Blackwell and Jodie Blackwell.
