Dorothy Riley

Riley, Dorothy Hinton, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Crowne Health Care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benajah Woodfin Hinton and Lelia Leslie Whatley, husband, Walt “Skeet” Riley, Jr., sister, Liz “Sister” Forsling, brother, Woodfin Hinton. Mrs. Riley is survived by a daughter, Ann Webb of Montgomery; son, Walt (Kelly) Riley, III of Alabaster; grandchildren, James (Ginny) Webb of Homewood, Leslie (Jonathan) Parish of Opelika, Jay (Crystal) Riley of Lexington, KY, Brett (Kelly) Riley of Bowling Green, KY, Megan Riley of Alabaster; great-grandchildren, Banks Singleton Webb, Leighton Riley Parish and Daniel Whatley Riley.

Mrs. Riley was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for many years and a member of Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was an avid golfer with two hole-in-ones to her credit.

Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Mickey Castleberry officiating. Burial will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. EST in Reynolds, GA at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.

Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

Flowers will be accepted or Memorial Contributions can be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Missions.
