Dorothy Adams

WINNFIELD - Services for Dorothy Adams will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Southern with the Revs. Bill Moore and Kevin Womack officiating. Burial will be in Sikes Baptist Church Cemetery.

Adams, 88, of Sikes died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, in her residence.

She was a native of Jackson Parish, a homemaker and a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Darwin Woods of Penn Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Mary Lea Carpenter of Dodson and Ellen Ruth Butler of Arcadia; two stepdaughters, Hazel Melton of Winnfield and Annie Belle Walker of Minden; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren and several stepgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Adam Carpenter, Jimmy Butler, Bob Woods, Mark Woods, Kevin Womack and Harry Baldridge.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.
