Dorothy Louise Warlick Rolen was born March 5, 1929 and departed this life and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday evening, December 20, 2011. Mrs. Rolen always had a fighter's spirit and that spirit was illustrated by her long-fought battle against illness over the past several years. She loved life and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She was always interested in current affairs and would talk politics with anyone who would listen. She was an amazing example of love and kindness. Her strength and ability to never give up is a testament to her faith in Jesus. She will truly be missed.

Mrs. Rolen was preceded in death by her husband of more than 35 years at the time of his death in 1986, Woodroe L. Rolen; her brothers, Monroe Warlick and Ray Warlick; her sister, Mary Wilson; and her son, Larry Rolen.

She is survived by her sisters, Katherine Festervan and Billy Faye Sexton; her brother, Joe Warlick; her daughter, Judy Brown and son-in-law Charles Brown; her son Wade Rolen and daughter-in-law Sharon Rolen; her four grandchildren, Carey Brown, Galon Brown, Kim Witmer, and April Rolen-Ogden; her six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be James Holtzclaw, Wayne Rhymes, Buster Gibson, Jerry Hayes, John Stokes, and Robert Coleman.

The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to the Town & Country Nursing Center and all of those who assisted Mrs. Rolen and her family during the past four years of Mrs. Rolen's battle against illness. The nurses and staff at Town and Country Nursing Center are to be commended for a job well done.
