Mrs. John Hargrove

Funeral services for Mrs. John Eugene Hargrove, 64, of 1814 Bellewood Road, were held at 11 a.m. Friday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel with Dr. David Grant, pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church, officiating. Interment services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the graveside at the Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, with the Rev. David Ulmer, pastor of the Centenary Methodist Church, officiating.

Mrs. Hargrove died Wednesday morning at Doctor's Hospital after an extended illness.

She was a native of McComb, a former resident of Jackson from 1935-1943, a former resident of Washington, D. C. and for several years she and her husband lived at an overseas diplomatic post. Since 1962 they had made their home in Jackson. Mrs. Hargrove was a member of Centenary Methodist Church of McComb.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph G. Sharp, Linden, Ala., and Mrs. W. H. Cope, Fairfax, Va.; one brother, J. E. Morris, Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Milton Roach, McComb, and Mrs. Daniel Watson, Kosciusko; one nephew, John Roach, Jackson, and six grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were: Daniel Watson, John M. Roach, Milton Roach, Thu[r]man Lewis, Maynard Craft, Henry C. Allen, Dr. Curtis R. Russ, H. D. Mosley, and Rev. Harold Jordan.

Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. A. W. St. Clair, Dr. Thomas C. Turner, Malcolm Watson, Clarence Morgan, J. W. Alford, J. C. Flowers, E. M. Summer, Gordon Roach, John Gordon Roach, and Otho R. Smith.
