DOROTHY MARIE SMITH

Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Morris Smith, 90 of Jonesville, LA will be held at Lake Lilly Baptist Church on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm with Bro. Frank Bass and Bro Richard Cullum officiating. Interment will follow at McFarland Gurie Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Marie Smith was born on August 16, 1921 in Harrisonburg, LA the daughter of Wince and Dorothy (Edwards) Morris and passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her residence in Jonesville. She was a Homemaker and a member of Lake Lilly Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Alton Smith; her parents; one brother, Milton Eugene Morris; six sisters, Lilac Bass, Bernice Wheeler, Biela Neal, Rose Jones, Betty Bradshaw, and Lucy Smith; and one granddaughter, Paula Doughty.
Survivors include: three daughters, Pat Doughty and husband, Roy, of Vidalia, Dorothy Chappelle and husband, Leo, of Jonesville, and Carolyn Doughty and husband Alvin of Vidalia; four Grandchildren- James Doughty and wife, Melissa, of Vidalia, Cliff Doughty and wife, Aimeé of Pineville, Tamba Eichmann and husband, Lane, of Jonesville, and Monica (Monty Miller and husband, Michael, of Vidalia; one brother, Wince Morris Jr. of Jonesville; two sisters, Bonnie Mophett and husband, Aubrey, of Vidalia, and Marjorie Peschier of Lake Charles, La.; nine great-grandchildren, Miranda Smith and husband, Josh of Vidalia, Beau Doughty, Andrew Doughty, Chelsi Eichmann, Rachel Eichmann, Trenton Miller, Trace Miller, Benjamin Doughty, Joel Doughty; three great-great-grandchildren, Chloe Smith, Clayton Smith, and Callie Smith.
A special thanks to her sitters, Mary Marshall, Carrie Nolan, and Vera Coates.
The Pallbearers will be Andrew Doughty, Beau Doughty, Cliff Doughty, James Doughty, Josh Smith, Lane Eichmann, and Michael Miller.
