Dorothy Merle Guice
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy M. Guice will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in Rush Funeral Home, Hineston with Reverend Jason Townley officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston.
Mrs. Guice, 76, of Hineston entered eternal rest on Friday, March 11, 2011 in Naomi Heights Nursing Home, Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardie and MaeBell Pierce. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband, of sixty years, Roy L. Guice of Hineston; two daughters, Carolyn Melder and her husband, Jack of Hineston and Becky Avery of Glenmora; one step-daughter, Sandy Belcher and her husband, Floyd of Houston, Texas; three sons, Hardy Guice of Flatwoods, Stevie Guice of Glenmora and Andy Guice and his wife, Sheila of Boyce; three sisters, Jackie Speights of Woodworth, Mamie Trichell of Monroe and Patsy Strother of Glenmora; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Charlie Goleman, Johnny Golemon, Bodie Barton, Wayne Bruce, Lester Golemon and Andy Guice.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Pine Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund, 6026 Hwy 112, Melder, LA 71433.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Hineston on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until time of her service at 2:00 p.m.
