Funeral services for Dorothy Rae Smith, 78, of Arcadia, LA formerly of Rayville were held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Rayville with Sis. Teresa Kile, Rev. Vincent Bueltel, Rev. Roger Temple, Rev. Terry Temple and Rev. Jimmie Wright officiating. Interment followed in Lynn Cemetery, Archibald under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville.

Dorothy Smith was born on August 28, 1929 in Girard, LA and passed away on Monday, December 24, 2007 after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Smith was a lifetime member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church. She loved to quilt, grow flowers, watch, and take pictures of humming birds. She was the best mother in the world; she was our mother, father, and close friend.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Flossie Temple; brother, J.W. Temple; sister, Nancy Wright; daughter, Lynette Walters and grandson, Joshlin Walters.

Survivors include her Children, Hilda Antee and husband, Roy of Arcadia, LA, Lonnie Berry and husband, Johnny of Rayville, and Ronnie Smith of Rayville; Sister, Mae Hernandez of Monroe, Minta Temple of Arlington, TX, Diane Bueltel and husband, Vincent of Abbeville, LA, and Becky Temple of Gibsland, LA; Brothers, James D. Temple and wife, Darlene of Culpeper, VA and Boyce Temple and wife, Dee of Rayville; 12-Grandcildren; 17-Great Grandchildren; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins; Special Friends, Kathy Sanford and Margaret McVay; Special Care Givers, Margaret Morris and Special Thanks to Northwest Hospice.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, James Roy Antee, Joshua Berry, Shane Antee, Eric Smith, Gordon Walters, Jr., and Charlie Smith.
