Mrs. Burke

BUNKIE, La. -- Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Beulah Baptist church in Cheneyville for Mrs. Dottie Burke, 75, who died at her residence in Cheneyville Saturday.

Officiating was Rev. A. W. Thomas, pastor, assisted by Rev. Biggy Spears of the Eola Baptist church. Arrangements were under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Survivors include seven sons, Emmett Burke of Bunkie, Ora Burke and Oscar Burke of Cheneyville, Webster Burke of Simmsport, Charlie Burke of Lake Charles, Theodore Burke of Alexandria and Munson Burke of Santiago, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Roy Reynolds and Mrs. Willie Walker both of Alexandria and Mrs. George Herrin of Hot Wells; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Busby of Crowville, La. and Mrs. Nancy Kelley of Arlington, Texas.

The first six of the seven sons named above served as pallbearers. Burial was in the Episcopal cemetery in Cheneyville.
