Mrs. Dickson Rites to Be Held Today
Funeral services for Mrs. Harry P. Dickson Sr., 64, of 5330 Bienville St., will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Morningside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dickson died Monday at 8:30 p.m. in St. Luke's Hospital in Houston, Tex., following a long illness.
A native of Winnfield, she had lived in Shreveport 20 years. Before her illness, she was employed at the W. F. Beall Co. here.
Mrs. Dickson was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church, the Queensborough Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Businesswomen's Club of the Morningside Baptist Church.
The services, under direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, will be conducted by the Rev. E. E. Taylor, pastor of Morningside. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Harry P. Dickson Sr. of Shreveport; one son, Harry P. Dickson Jr., also of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. E. U. Kelly of Columbia, La., and Mrs. Ralph Lennig of Ruston; one brother, J. M. Willis of West Monroe, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be T. H. Beam, Lionel Enloe, Drafton Courtney, O. D. Haddox, John Kelley and Charles Dickens.
