DOUGLAS B. FOLSE

BASTROP, LA. - Douglas Bowden Folse, 88, father of Sandra F. Tumminello of Yorktown, died Saturday, Jan. 1.

Mr. Folse, a native of Napoleonville, La., was a postal service employee, retiring in 1970 after 30 years of service.

Mr. Folse graduated from Louisiana State University in 1926 with a B.A. degree in journalism and was a charter member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church; a Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge in Monroe, La.; and a member of the El Karuba Shrine Club, Shreveport, La.

Also survived by his wife, Evelyn B. Folse; two sons, Darrel E. Folse of Shreveport, La., and Paul D. Folse of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret Folse Hauser of Bastrop, La., and Elizabeth Folse Baker of Winnsboro, La.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial service was held Monday at Grace Episcopal Church, Newport News, by the Rev. Peter Shea.

Burial was private.
