De Lee Rites Planned at Osborn Chapel

Funeral services for R. Douglas De Lee, 18, son of a prominent local physician, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Osborn Chapel.

Dr. D. L. Dykes, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate at the rites. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. The body will remain at the chapel until the hour of services.

A freshman at the University of Oklahoma, young De Lee was killed Thursday afternoon in an auto accident in Norman, Okla.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. R. B. De Lee of 854 River Rd.; two sisters, Mrs. Tom Marshall of Baton Rouge, and Miss Edith Clare De Lee of Shreveport; maternal grandfather, Willie Solis; paternal grandmother, Mrs. R. A. De Lee, and an uncle, Dr. Stuart De Lee, all of Shreveport.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Eiser, Larry Mulkey, Gordon Rountree, Billy Towery, Pete Aldridge, Curtis Mewborne, David McGuffin and Paul Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at the University of Oklahoma and the D.C.G. Club at Byrd High School.
