Douglas Eugene Garrard
Services for Douglas Eugene “Genie” Garrard, 57, of Winona, who died of wounds sustained in an auto accident Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Winona.
Mr. Garrard was a machinist with Irving Industries in Greenwood. He was a member of Winona Church of God and served in the Mississippi National Guard.
He is survived by his parents, the Rev. Sam G. Garrard and Mrs. Myrtis Mims Garrard of Winona; two sisters, Pat Garrard Howard of French Camp and Anita Garrard Walters of Winona; and two brothers, Sam G. Garrard, Jr. of Henderson, Nev., and Gary Garrard of Rogers, Ark.
The Rev. George Alfred Mims, assisted by the Rev. Danny Jackson, will officiate at services.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Winona.
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona is in charge of arrangements.
