Dovie Elaine Eldridge

Funeral services for Dovie Elaine Eldridge, 77, of Winnsboro were held Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 at the Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro, with the Dr. Alan Miller and Rev. Jason Foster officiating. Burial followed in the Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Winnsboro.

Mrs. Eldridge was a faithful Christian and member of Temple Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years, worked for Temple Baptist Early Education Program, and custodian of Temple Baptist Church. She was born Sept. 19, 1932 in Winnsboro, where she resided. She passed from this life at the Franklin Medical Center on August 22, 2009.

She is preceded in by husband, John Elton Eldridge.

She is survived by her children: Dianne Sampley and husband Stephen, Shelia Lofton and husband Paul, Gary Eldridge and wife Krista, Susan Eldridge, and Lisa Bass and husband Matthew; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Matthew Sampley, Dow Eldridge, Jeremy Temple, Lee Martin, Jimmy Smith, and Mark Spence.

Honorary pallbearers were Eli Eaks, Brandon Martin, and Aaron Moore.
