Dowe G. Wilson, 81, of Atlanta, died Monday, February 11, 2008. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Clairmont Hills Baptist Church, 1995 Clairmont Rd., Decatur, GA 30033.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 PM prior to the service. Mr. Wilson was born on August 16, 1926 in Trent, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Volus Graden Wilson and Mary Elimina Jones.
He married Elizabeth L. Walton on May 19, 1946. Mr. Wilson retired from Bellsouth December 31, 1983. He served in the Navy, completed his engineering degree at Texas Tech, enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and loved dogs. He loved life and will be missed by many.
Survivors included his wife Elizabeth ``Louise'' Wilson, two children, his son, David L. Wilson of Gainesville, GA; his daughter, Carol Yochem and her husband John Yochem, Jr. of Bishop, GA; four grandchildren, John Yochem, III, Ryan Yochem, Matthew Yochem, and Tamara Wilson, one sister, Pauline Ranfield of Roscoe, TX; one brother, Virgil Wilson of Dallas, TX.

Graveside services for Dowe Wilson, 81, of Atlanta, GA, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Sweetwater Cemetery with family members officiating.
Services will be under the direction of Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
Mr. Wilson died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in Atlanta, GA.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1926, in Trent. He married Louise Walton on May 19, 1946 in Sweetwater. Mr. Wilson worked as an engineer for Bell South for many years before retiring in 1983. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Wilson of Atlanta, GA; one son, David Wilson of Flowery Branch, GA; one daughter, Carol Yochem and husband Jack of Bishop, GA; one granddaughter, Tamara Wilson; three grandsons, John Yochem, Ryan Yochem and Matt Yochem; one sister, Pauline Rannefeld and her husband Monroe of Roscoe; and one brother, Virgil Wilson and his wife, Leona, of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Mary Elmina Wilson.
